    Erik Ahnberg works at Biolin Scientific as a Director of Sales and In-House Sales covering the global market. He manages both sales and support through distribution partners and having some direct markets also. 

    Biolin Scientific is a leading Nordic surface science instrumentation company with roots in Sweden and Finland.

  • Paul Baxter

    Head of Sales & Marketing, Home Care Lubrizol Home Care

    Dr Paul Baxter is a graduate of Jesus College, Oxford and he has over 30 years’ experience within the chemical industry. He began work at Laporte as a research chemist investigating novel laundry bleaches and then held various commercial roles before becoming involved in the Group’s mergers and acquisitions. He subsequently held a variety of senior commercial positions at Amcol and William Blythe, before joining Warwick in 2003 as Business Development Director.

    Warwick was acquired by Lubrizol in 2014, and the Warwick business is now part of Lubrizol Home Care where Paul is Head of Sales.


  • Ian Bell

    Head of Home Care, Tissue & Hygiene Research Euromonitor International

    Ian Bell manages the research programme for the global home care industry at Euromonitor International, which he joined in February 2001. In his current post, Ian has direct responsibility over the content and quality of Euromonitor's Home Care research, which provides strategic analysis of the global market as well as in-depth coverage of 80 countries worldwide. Ian is also responsible for working with the international Home Care client base of Euromonitor's online database Passport.

    Before joining the global research team at Euromonitor International, Ian worked initially as a Japanese FMCG Research Analyst and then as Research Manager overseeing FMCG market research for Northern Europe, including the UK, Germany and Russia. 
    Ian has a degree in Japanese Studies (BSC) from the University of Sheffield, and has also studied at Nagoya University.

  • Ludovic Co Kim Len

    Certification Manager for Detergents Ecocert, France

    Formulation Chemistry Engineer. Joined Ecocert in 2011 and started as a certification officer for cleaning products. Certification manager since 2016, he is in charge of ensuring that the criteria set by Ecocert are always orientated toward a better respect of the environment. He also supports companies through the certification process of their products.

    ECOCERT’s aims are to valorize the ingredients resulting from Organic Farming and to promote the use of ingredients coming from agro-resources rather than petro-chemistry, in a way to ensure a better respect of the environment.

  • Laure Cucuron

    General Manager TerraCycle Europe, UK

    Laure Cucuron is the General Manager of TerraCycle Europe, a global leader in the collection and repurposing of otherwise non-recyclable post-consumer and post-industrial waste. In 21 countries, TerraCycle creates national platforms to recycle products and packaging that currently go to landfill or incineration, in collaboration with the world’s largest brands (e.g. BIC, JDE, P&G), retailers (e.g. Staples, Target, Tesco), and cities (e.g. Vancouver).

    Through TerraCycle, Laure is pioneering a new waste management process across TerraCycle’s 12 European markets in a period of real innovation and exciting growth for the business.  This process involves manufacturers, retailers and consumers, to create circular solutions for materials such as food packaging, laboratory waste, coffee capsules, cigarette waste and even beach plastics that otherwise have no other path to be recycled.

  • Gian De Belder

    Packaging Technologist, R&D Packaging Sustainability Procter & Gamble, Belgium

    Gian is a principal scientist and packaging technologist at Procter & Gamble (P&G), one of the largest consumer packaged goods companies in the world.

    In his 19-year career at P&G, Gian has helped drive R&D into sustainable packaging across the company. With experience in upstream technologies, sustainable resins and EU funding projects, Gian has been involved in developing key partnerships across the value chain and managing open innovation through P&G’s Connect & Develop Programme.

    To help drive cross-sector collaboration, Gian is a board member of Petcore Europe (the association representing the complete PET value chain in Europe), co-chairman of the Packaging Task Force at the A.I.S.E. (International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products). Gian is also active in other industry associations such as the FostPlus (Belgian green dot), Expra (Extended Producer Responsibility Alliance) and others.

    Most recently, Gian is helping lead a pioneering project on the standardisation of markers/ watermarks in packaging (barcode for recycling), to increase efficiencies in high-quality sorting and to strive for higher recycling rates, as part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy initiative.
    Since 2018, Gian is also official juror for PackTheFuture (Elipso+IKV = German and French association for plastics packaging and films) and DuPont Packaging Innovation Awards.
    Gian is 42 years old and holds a degree in Polymer & Composites Engineering from Leuven University. He was born in Belgium and is married with 2 children. He is a big fan of sports (running/squash/cycling) and travel.







  • Dr. Peter Douben

    Director REACHWise, UK

    Peter Douben is founder and Director of REACHWise, a London based consultancy aimed at assisting companies with their implementation of REACH, CLP and associated legal duties. Before REACHWise, Peter was Head of Environmental Protection in Unilever and served on many industry bodies in Europe and North America. Then he was Director REACH/Chemicals Policy in Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, during which he was responsible for the implementation of REACH, and as such he was involved in several RIPs. He has a University degree from the University of Wageningen, The Netherlands, and a PhD in ecotoxicology, based on a collaboration between Wageningen University and the Natural Environment Research Council.

    Based in Manchester, United Kingdom, June Graham is the Research and Development Director for McBride plc,   McBride  are the leader in  development and supply of Private Label  Household and Personal Care products in Europe.  

    The team June leads,   develop the products   which retailers'   sell as their own brands. This includes a wide variety of products,  including Eco label and Nordic Swan.





  • Anne Gückel

    Downstream Product Compliance Manager Schülke & Mayr GmbH, Germany

    After the education to a Chemistry laboratory technician Anne Gückel started in 2000 at Schülke & Mayr GmbH, Norderstedt (Germany) in the laboratory of the Application Department Special Additives International. In 2008 she took over the responsibilities as Application engineer for technical and legal advices related to preservatives, microbiological challenge tests and Microbiological Quality Management (MQM).
    Since beginning of 2017 Anne Gückel is responsible for compliance with the increasing legal requirements of chemicals and biocides as a Downstream Product Compliance Manager.

  • Dr James Hindley

    Executive Director Indoor Biotechnologies Ltd., UK

    James Hindley, BSc, PhD is Executive Director of Indoor Biotechnologies Ltd - a leading provider of products and services for allergy research. James obtained both his BSc in Medical Biochemistry and his PhD in Immunology from Cardiff University in 2006 and 2010, respectively. James oversees a wide range of operations for the company, including R&D, contract research, analytical services and product sales to over 50 different countries. Recently James headed the opening of InBio’s new laboratory facilities in India and Wales. In 2016 he was named one of Wales’s Rising Stars of business.

  • Peter Jochems

    Lead formulator Ecover

    In 2014 Peter Jochems started as a formulator at people against dirty (Ecover & Method) after his PhD in bio-science engineering. He formulated both manual as automatic dish products. Currently he is lead formulator for people against dirty and oversees all new formulation developments for people against dirty in Europe.

  • Nikola Matic

    Director, Chemicals Kline & Company, Czech Republic

    Based in Prague, Czech Republic, Nikola Matic is a Director for the Chemicals & Materials practice of Kline & Company. With extensive international market research experience, he has worked across a range of chemical and energy projects, and is presently focused on projects within Chemicals & Materials industry.

    Currently, Nikola manages flagship industry programs including Personal Care Ingredients, Specialty Actives, Synthetic Latex Polymers, Specialty Biocides, Excipients, and Ingredients for Household, Industrial, and Institutional Cleaning Applications.

    Prior to joining Kline, Nikola worked in the environmental services consultancy for a leading French company in which he was responsible for the business development in Central and Eastern Europe.

    Nikola holds an engineering degree in process engineering from the Université de Technologie de Compi ègne (UTC) and is fluent in French, English, Czech and Serbian.


  • Sascha Nissen

    Head of Sustainability A.I.S.E., Belgium

    Since 2005, Sascha Nissen has been working with A.I.S.E., the international Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products in Brussels. He is mainly involved in the development and implementation of A.I.S.E.’s European voluntary initiatives on Sustainable Production and Consumption (SCP) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities for the industry sector, in particular in the project management of the ‘A.I.S.E. Charter for Sustainable Cleaning’. Sascha is also coordinating A.I.S.E.’s Product Environmental Footprint pilot on household liquid laundry detergents, a project in the context of the EU Environmental Footprint initiative.

    Sascha studied Political Science at the University in Bonn, Germany, and was working in parallel in the German Parliament as Parliamentary Assistant. After his graduation as Magister Artium, M.A., he worked as Consultant for Public Relations and Public Affairs firms in Germany and Brussels.

    Sascha has been a speaker at numerous international symposia and congresses across Europe.


  • Gabi Ohlendorf

    Technical Application Manager EMEA Clariant, Germany

    Gabi Ohlendorf was born in Leverkusen, Germany. She studied chemistry at the University of Bonn, Germany, with a focus on organic chemistry. In 2009, she spent one semester abroad in Paris, France. During her PhD, she worked in the field of organic macromolecules. After graduating from University with honors, she joined Clariant as a Technical Application Manager for Industrial and Home Care. She supports Clariant’s Sales Team in the EMEA region with her technical experience.

    Researcher - R&D Dept. Instituto Tecnológico Textil AITEX, Spain

    Chemical Industrial and Materials Eng. Currently, he’s one of the researchers of the R&D Group on Textile Finishing, Health and Environment at AITEX – Textile Research Institute (Spain), with more than 10 years of experience in finishing processes (coating, lamination and bonding), surface treatments, adhesives, eco-technologies (ozone, laser, nanobubbles) and validation of effects provided by chemicals interacting with textiles. In addition, he is teaching in the Master's degree on Textile Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

  • Dr Bitten Plesner

    Industry Technology Specialist, Household Care Novozymes

    Dr. Bitten Plesner obtained a Master degree in Chemistry and Physics from Roskilde University in Denmark in 2007, and a   Industrial PhD in biophysics, collaboration with Novo Nordisk A/S and Roskilde University in 2011. In the same year, Dr. Plesner also obtained a Post doc at Faculty of Pharmaceuticals at the University of Copenhagen. 

    From 2011 to 215, she   was a    Research Scientist in Household Care division at Novozymes. More recently, she is working as an    Industry Technology Specialist covering Central-Western Europe.

  • Chris Sayner

    Vice President, Customer Alliances, Corporate Sustainability Croda International Plc

    Chris Sayner has worked with Croda in the Home & Personal Care industry over many years in a number of sales & marketing roles. As Vice President Global Accounts Chris has seen the evolution of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability reporting in H&PC consumer goods industries and helped design the architecture around Croda’s Sustainability Reporting which began in 2007. Croda has twice been included in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World, 2013 and 2014 and on the CDP “Climate Disclosure Leadership Index” 2013 for leading on climate change transparency together with recognition by Trucost, sustainability analysts, as a Natural Capital Decoupling Leader since 2014.

    Chris writes and presents extensively on Ingredient Integrity™ covering wide ranging issues such as carbon footprint, renewable raw materials, traceability, supporting Certified Sustainable Palm Oil in the chemical industry and developing physical CSPO supply chains in Home & Personal Care.
    Chris sits on the RSPO Communication & Claims Standing Committee and is a board member of the Personal Care Products Council.

    In 2016 Chris moved to the position of VP, Customer Alliances, Corporate Sustainability engaging in all aspects of sustainability with customers across all industry sectors, as well as other stakeholders, NGOs and industry bodies.

    Global Product Stewardship & Sustainability Procter & Gamble

    Dr. Mark Stalmans obtained a Ph.D. in Colloidal and Interphase Chemistry in 1986 (Leuven University, Belgium). He joined Procter & Gamble in 1987 and has managed global and regional safety, regulatory, lifecycle analysis and sustainability programs for household and professional product categories.

    Since 2013, he is manager Global Product Stewardship & Sustainability for the Global Fabric & Home Care Business Unit where he coordinates P&G’s internal and stakeholder programmes around sustainability and innovation. He is an active member of the A.I.S.E. and CEFIC industry association networks and supports safety and sustainability initiatives such as A.I.S.E. Charter for Sustainable Cleaning,, ‘I prefer 30°’ ( and the CEFIC Sustainability Programme Council.

  • Lene Stiil

    CEO AllergyCertified, Denmark

    There is one focus in the worklife for Lene Stiil: make it possible for consumers to choose skin friendly no matter where you live. She founded international labelling organization AllergyCertified at the end of 2014. Before doing so she was a vivid fulltime beekeeper and before that she worked in the Danish Parliament. She has a background from communications at Aalborg University, Denmark.

    Lieke is a dedicated specialist for the further development of the Product & Material Testing market in the Benelux area, assisting Benelux clients in assessing and optimising the sensory attributes of their products and materials. ​She is a young sensory professional and has already built up considerable overall​ ​expertise with sensory research​. Lieke holds a Master’s Degree in Sensory ​Science from Wageningen University​.

    Chuchu Yu is working for NVZ since 2014 as consultant Scientific and Regulatory Affairs. There he works on issues concerning sustainable packaging, biocides and storage of chemicals. He has a Master degree in Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam.
