  • Ian Bell

    Head of Home Care, Tissue & Hygiene Research Euromonitor International

    Ian Bell manages the research programme for the global home care industry at Euromonitor International, which he joined in February 2001. In his current post, Ian has direct responsibility over the content and quality of Euromonitor's Home Care research, which provides strategic analysis of the global market as well as in-depth coverage of 80 countries worldwide. Ian is also responsible for working with the international Home Care client base of Euromonitor's online database Passport.

    Before joining the global research team at Euromonitor International, Ian worked initially as a Japanese FMCG Research Analyst and then as Research Manager overseeing FMCG market research for Northern Europe, including the UK, Germany and Russia. 
    Ian has a degree in Japanese Studies (BSC) from the University of Sheffield, and has also studied at Nagoya University.

  • Terry Kitagawa

    Associate Research Fellow The Clorox Company

    Terry Kitagawa is an Associate Research Fellow at The Clorox Company.  Currently in his 10th year at Clorox, he has developed and launched many successful products in the Cleaning and Laundry categories, such as Liquid Plumr®, Liquid Clorox2®, and Clorox® Liquid Bleach.  He is a Subject Matter Expert in oxidative/bleach chemistry.  Prior to joining Clorox®, he studied inorganic chemistry at UCLA, and followed his passion for chemistry to the University of Washington in Seattle, receiving his Ph.D. in bioinorganic chemistry.  He is also a biohacker who puts butter in his coffee.  In his free time you can find him studying personal development, slinging heavy kettlebells and using his sous vide in his quest for the perfect steak.

  • Dr. John McKoen

    CEO Allergy Standards

    Dr McKeon is responsible for corporate strategy and all operational activities at Allergy Standards Ltd, including expanding related services and developing client relationships.

    John is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and qualified as a medical doctor from Trinity College Dublin in 1996. He also holds his United States Medical Licensing exams.

    Dr McKeon was joint founder of the company while working in Emergency Room Medicine.

    John graduated first in his class from a National Business Incubation Programme in January 2001 with a Post Graduate Diploma in new business development.

    John was awarded the ‘Lead Entrepreneur Award’ by the Irish Prime Minister while participating in the biotechnology business incubator programme in 2002. He also received funding from the national enterprise body Enterprise Ireland.

    John also graduated with distinction from the Dublin Institute of Technology business school with a post graduate diploma in International Selling.

    John maintains a keen interest in clinical medicine and is a member of the Royal Academy of Medicine. He has had several publications in Medical journals such as ‘Injury’ and the European Journal of Surgery.

    He is frequently asked to participate in articles relevant to asthma, allergy and consumer products. Most recently he contributed to articles in the Washington Post and the Guardian newspaper in the UK.

    John has been profiled in several business publications including the Irish Entrepreneurs magazine and the Sunday Business Post.

    John is a member of the Institute of Directors and a frequent guest speaker at marketing seminars in Dublin University Business School.

    He is married to Anna, also a medical doctor, and they have three young children.

  • Tom Szaky

    CEO Terracycle

    Tom Szaky is the founder and CEO of TerraCycle, a global leader in the collection and repurposing of otherwise non-recyclable pre and post-consumer waste. TerraCycle operates in 21 countries, working with the world’s largest brands and companies to create national platforms to recycle products and packaging that currently go to landfill or incineration.

    Through TerraCycle, Tom is pioneering a new waste management process, involving manufacturers, retailers, governments and consumers, to create circular solutions for materials such as cigarette butts, laboratory waste, coffee capsules and even food packaging that otherwise have no other path to be recycled.

    Tom is the author of three books, “Revolution in a Bottle” (2009, Portfolio) and “Outsmart Waste” (2014, Berrett-Koehler) and “Make Garbage Great” (2015, HarperCollins). Tom created, produced and starred in TerraCycle’s reality show, “Human Resources” which aired on Pivot from 2014-2016. Tom and TerraCycle have received over 200 social, environmental and business awards and recognition from a range of organizations including the United Nations, World Economic Forum, Forbes Magazine, Fortune Magazine, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Annemarieke Van Heeswijk

    Global Category Leader Liquid Enzymes DuPont Home & Personal Care Division

    Annemarieke van Heeswijk is Global Category Leader Liquid Enzymes at the DuPont Home & Personal Care division. She is responsible for giving strategic direction to the category and the global execution of the marketing mix for the total portfolio.

    Annemarieke is working in the enzyme business for 7 years now. Prior to joining DuPont she worked for DSM in diverse marketing and sales positions.

    A native from the Netherlands, Annemarieke holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Maastricht University with a specialization in Marketing & Innovation Management. She moved to the USA in 2013 and currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
