  • Ian Bell

    Head of Home Care, Tissue & Hygiene Research Euromonitor International

    Ian Bell manages the research programme for the global home care industry at Euromonitor International, which he joined in February 2001. In his current post, Ian has direct responsibility over the content and quality of Euromonitor's Home Care research, which provides strategic analysis of the global market as well as in-depth coverage of 80 countries worldwide. Ian is also responsible for working with the international Home Care client base of Euromonitor's online database Passport.

    Before joining the global research team at Euromonitor International, Ian worked initially as a Japanese FMCG Research Analyst and then as Research Manager overseeing FMCG market research for Northern Europe, including the UK, Germany and Russia. 
    Ian has a degree in Japanese Studies (BSC) from the University of Sheffield, and has also studied at Nagoya University.

  • Kate Geraghty

    Global Sustainability Leader Dow Chemical

    Kate Geraghty is a Global Sustainability Leader for the Dow Chemical Company, aligned to the Consumer Care business.

    In her current role, Kate defines and implements the sustainability strategy in the business with the support of global, functional leaders. She has led programmes to differentiate solutions for cleaning applications utilizing Dow’s existing technology platforms and has driven sustainability standards into new product development.

    Kate has been a strong leader in the area of product sustainability, in representing Dow in multi-stakeholder efforts such as The Sustainability Consortium, American Cleaning Institute and European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients.

    Prior to her work at Dow, Kate has held positions in regulatory affairs with Du Pont, been an Associate with environmental consultancy WSP and served as Environmental Projects Manager with Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials.

    Kate is based at Dow’s European headquarters in Horgen, Switzerland. She holds a MSc. (Dist.) in Environmental Monitoring and Assessment from Coventry University. In 2014 she graduated from IMD business school’s Sustainability Leadership in Action programme.

  • Johan Jansen - Storbacka

    Global Marketing Director DuPont

    Johan Jansen-Storbacka is responsible for global strategic marketing for home and personal care within DuPont Industrial Biosciences. Johan joined DuPont in 2010 as engagement leader for sales and marketing excellence projects, and has held various leadership positions within DuPont Industrial Biosciences since 2012. Before joining DuPont, he spent seven years with Whirlpool home appliances in a variety of positions. He holds a M.Sc. from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.

  • Dr. Christoph Kolano

    Associate Director Consumer Care, Lonza

    In 2008, Christoph joined KOLB, where he became Head of Synthesis with a special focus on the development of nonionic surfactants based on alkoxylation, esterification and end-capping technologies. In 2010, he also took over responsibility for synthetic developments and technology scouting. Two years later, he was promoted to Head of Application Development & Technical Service, focusing on formulations for detergents, home care and I & I, cosmetics, lubricants, agrochemicals, textile, pharma excipients and paper processing chemicals. From 2013 till beginning of 2016 he led the global R&D activities of KOLB as Head of Research & Development. Christoph Kolano has over twenty five publications in peer-reviewed journals and patents which outline his continuous R&D achievements. During his time at KOLB Christoph was responsible for the development, introduction, and portfolio extension of the Greenbentin™ product line and the implementation of the RSPO grade surfactants. His research activities are strongly linked to Oleo chemicals, surfactants, "Green Chemistry", and Sustainability concepts. Since February 2016 he is responsible for Consumer Care related topics at LONZA in his new role as Associate Director Marketing.

  • John Pickering

    Sales & Marketing Manager EMEA Innospec Inc

    John  Pickering  is the  Sales & Marketing Manager EMEA at Innospec Inc. In  this  role  John  is responsible for the P&L and growth strategy of the Home Care, I&I and Beauty & Personal Care markets in EMEA.

    He  began his career in 1990 with Albright & Wilson UK as a trainee chemist in  the  surfactant  R&D  dept.  before  joining the Detergent & Toiletries application  team  in 1997. During this time he also received his degree in Chemistry from the University of Central Lancashire. He moved to Albright & Wilson  Italy  in  1999  where  he  was  Technical  Sales  Manager  for the surfactants  business  in Central Eastern Europe. He joined the sales dept. of  Huntsman  in  2003  where  he  held  various  commercial  roles  in the Performance  Intermediates  team before being appointed EMEA Market Manager for Home Care, I&I in 2010.

  • Dr Mark Stalmans

    Global Product Stewardship & Sustainability Procter & Gamble

    Dr. Mark Stalmans obtained a Ph.D. in Colloidal and Interphase Chemistry in 1986 (Leuven University, Belgium). He joined Procter & Gamble in 1987 and has managed global and regional safety, regulatory, lifecycle analysis and sustainability programs for household and professional product categories.

    Since 2013, he is manager Global Product Stewardship & Sustainability for the Global Fabric & Home Care Business Unit where he coordinates P&G’s internal and stakeholder programmes around sustainability and innovation. He is an active member of the A.I.S.E. and CEFIC industry association networks and supports safety and sustainability initiatives such as A.I.S.E. Charter for Sustainable Cleaning, www.cleanright.eu, ‘I prefer 30°’ (www.iprefer30.eu) and the CEFIC Sustainability Programme Council.
